Acquittal in the satirical website case of the University of Upper Alsace

In this case, the hearing took place on February 11 and the judgment was rendered on April 8.

The criminal court of first instance pronounced the full acquittal of the firm’s client, thereby adopting the defense analysis developed by Paul Feutz.

While the press highlights the “legal subtleties” that animated the debates, it was indeed the offensive defense (motions to dismiss, witness summonses, motions for acquittal) and the legal demonstration made by the firm that convinced the court and led it to pronounce the partial annulment of the proceedings and acquittal on the merits for the remainder.

This is a total victory for our client, who endured a particularly harsh investigation and unfounded prosecution initiated by the Mulhouse prosecutor’s office, which did not appeal despite requisitions for an eight-month suspended prison sentence supported at the hearing.
